Is there a way to use them to activate JETM? This would be much more convenient than a system property.
Yes, it's possible to enable/disable JETM by JNDI entry, check my updated previous comment.
I think activating JETM via UI should be another separated issue.

There is no changes in sources from the last issue reopen, just description about activating JETM.
Testing the whole issue may be difficult for QA team, but I can help you if needed.
Now JETM HTTP-console is integrated into the JCommune web-context and secured(only users with GeneralPermission.ADMIN permission have access to it).
