< and " Symbols cause incorrect behaviour of Search

Scenario 1
1. Enter any request with "<" symbol in the end (f.ex. search<)
2. Press Enter
As a result, the correct results are returned, but:
-the search field obtains wrong symbols(see attachment Search1
-when clicking on the Search field, the page is automatically refreshing
-it is not possible to change the Search request

Scenario 2
1.Enter Search request

2.Press Enter
AR: The message "No results found" is shown and the search request has disappeared from Search field
ER:The message "No results found" is shown and the search request <> stays in the Search field

Scenario 3
1. Enter any request with " symbol in the middle of it (f.ex. try"search)
2. Press Enter
AR: the correct results for both words are returned, but all the symbols after " have disappeared from the Search field (see attachment Search2)
ER: the correct results for both words are returned and the request stays in the Search field without any changes (try"search)
